the U|Kidz environments are designed with kids specifically in mind. According to the age group, each U|Kidz will learn according to their developmental age and on topics that they can relate to in their life. It is our desire that kids would want to come to U|Kidz, bring their friends and they could take lessons into their everyday life. Because of this concept, we do not allow children who are within the U|Kidz age range to attend the adult service.
We want children to be safe and feel safe, and parents to rest assured that their child is well cared-for while they are in the service. For this reason, we obtain background checks on every volunteer. Adults are never alone with children, and there are always two adults with children at all times.
Our desire is to see kids have such a good time they will be begging their parents to come back the next week. We believe creating this fun environment for kids will help children learn more about Jesus. We use games, crafts, music and creative stories to communicate the message of Jesus, and we think it’s okay to have a good time at church.
We don’t want to simply entertain children, and we’re not here to babysit. We want children to learn about Jesus. The content of the kids’ environments is geared towards a child’s learning level, with specific lessons they can apply in their lives. Kids are wired to move and interact with their environment; therefore, u|Kids environments are designed to help kids learn about Jesus through interaction. Lessons about Christ and the Bible will be age appropriate and will help them understand God’s love and plan for their life.
We believe that what happens at home is more important than what happens at church. u|Kids is partnering with parents by providing resources, support, and encouragement as they lead their families from where they are to where God wants them to be.
When you arrive, look for our u|Kids check-in station. One of our friendly team members will help check your child into our system. You and your child will receive personalized, coordinating ID tags unique to your family and your visit, which you will show after the service in order to pick up your child. If you lose your ID tag, you will be required to show your Driver’s License in its place.
At check-in, we will ask for the following personal information: Family member’s names, children’s names and birthdates, address, phone number, and any special instructions such as allergies or special needs for your child.
If for any reason we need to contact you during the service, your child’s ID code will appear on the screen in the auditorium. If you see your ID code, please exit the auditorium, go to the u|Kids area, and ask a staff member to take you to your child’s room.
